Hi there,

We are in the process of bringing my in-laws (2) and we are about to file the I-864.

My question is:  We are a family of 4 and the income minimum is about 40k.  How much income is needed for both of my in-laws?  Do I need to double it? 80k?

I understand the numbers.  My question is how much do we need to sponsor 2 people?

Both cant be true.

$53,937 probably

If anyone else is reading this:

Since we file our taxes together, do I have to submit an I-864A?

Our income together for year 2024 was 66k, will they considering our income separately or together? His was about 52k, mine 14k

Year 2022 & 2023 we were self employed and the total income W2 wages in one was literally $665 and another of $12k.  Would this play against us?

Should we have a joint sponsor who did have a stable income for the past 3 years?

My head is exploding 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Thank you guys!

Hi there,

I completed the I-864 using ADOBE.  I understand that it needs to be a wet signature.

My question is: Am I suppose to print ALL of the pages of the form, get the signature, scan it back to the computer and then upload it to CEAC?

I was trying to just get the signature page done, scan it to the computer and replace it on ADOBE but it's not letting me do it because of security imposed on the forms.

If anyone has an easier IDEA, I would appreciate it.

The easiest way is to print all pages, sign and scan everything back. You may find doing something else may take more time. It's a 5 minute task
