Port of Entry

Hi everyone 

My fiancé is coming to the US from Vietnam next month through JFK. She is a K1 visa holder. I wonder if she needs to fill out any form on the airplane. What does she need to give CPB officer beside the package that I received at the consulate?

I think everything is done via kiosks now, but not entirely sure.  On my last few international flights, I did not see anyone passing out entry slips to fill out.

When Jaycel came on her K-1 Visa at LAX, she only had to present her Passport and the Yellow Packet to CBP.

I'm trying to plan out the entry. I live in the Orlando area. Flights don't come directly here. So she's going to enter elsewhere. I'm trying to assess whether I should fly to her entry airport or let her do the connecting flights to get to Florida. If they take her to secondary screening I want to be available for the officers to question.

Regardless if you are there, CBP will not bring you in from the domestic side to the secondary inspection area of the secure side of the international terminal. If they need anything from you they will call you.

Exactly.  Here at DFW, all direct international travelers are in a restricted area until after they have cleared immigration, customs, secondary, and picked up their baggage.  Even the baggage area is restricted.

Yes! I remember DFW's setup specifically and it's what prompted me to post on this LOL I always flew Tokyo to DFW on my trips back home from the Philippines. I asked Jaycel about her PoE at LAX and she said it's basically the same
