My fiancé and I FINALLY received word that his interview is scheduled for the first week of Sept. 2025. We have submitted the DS-160 and have scheduled the medical exam, but I am so confused as to how to pay the fee online, when going through the Moroccan Embassy it ask you to create an account which my fiancé did and then to choose what visa is paying for, we choose the "Non-immigrant Visa, K1 Visa, once we put in all the information it requested, his info plus the # on the DS-160, it took us on how we would want to pick up the material, we clicked on pickup which is near the Embassy of Casablanca, then it takes us to part on how we would like to pay, we chose to pay cash, but then we get stuck there and confused to what to do next. The letter we received states the following "The total fee for an immigrant visa is $265. payment must be made using local currency. You can pay your fee only at Cash Plus or online using your www.ustraveldocs.com profile."

There is no option on paying on the day of the interview.

The thing is that we already have the interview scheduled and this system is to pay the Visa and to schedule for the interview, so I am confused on that as well.

When we click on Click here to pay by cash, we are sent to another website and not sure if we should be filling that out and submitting.  Some please Help!!!!

If the USTravelDocs website takes you to another site to pay the fee then you can assume that site is the proper one to pay the fee

But we are trying to pay the fee by Cash, so it's confusing.

Then after all that is paid and we submit the receipt #, then what happens next when we already have the interview scheduled by the embassy?

The way it worked in the Philippines is they generate a receipt notice on the other site with a unique receipt number on it that is tied to your USTravelDocs account. Jaycel then printed it out and took it to the designated bank and paid it in cash. The bank validated her printout and credited the payment to the unique receipt number. After 24 hours, it was then shown as paid on the USTravelDocs site under her account. She then took the bank-validated receipt to the interview to prove she paid the visa fee.

  • $265 paid in cash at the Consulate, in either U.S. Dollars or the equivalent in Moroccan Dirhams.''

https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ma/en/immigrant-visa#kvisa

its under "immigrant" documents needed for interview

His letter does not state that we could pay in cash at the consulate, it states that he can pay his fee at the Cash Plus or online at ustraveldocs.com profile, if they would have stated to just pay the fee and no other instructions, then I would say we could pay at the consulate.

This process just seems so confusing, we are almost there but then we get stuck on this part and want to make sure we make no mistakes :(

It can be paid with credit or debit card online

But also can be paid at embassy with USD or moroccan durhams (right now its 1 USD to 8.96 durham) so look each day to see conversion the day he interviews

its 2375.52 at present time

Hello,

We have been trying to pay it online with the new system they rolled out and it's a mess, I've spoken with a rep. and they stated that we would need to wait until the pay slip expires, which we already have created 3, but online it gives 3 options, cash, credit/debit MAD and credit/debit us but needs to be master card and I'm not sure if he could use my Mastercard, sometimes they might need the person that payed to be present, I've heard.

My fiancé is stating that now no one is allowed to pay at the embassy, which I don't know how accurate that is, but I read online that they have a window where you can go and make a payment.

I will be there the month of August, and he does have is medical appt. on the 10th of August, so when we go to Casablanca, I'm going to insist to stop at the embassy if we still haven't made the payment online.

Very overwhelmed but we've gotten this far. :)

The consulate is in Casablanca. The embassy is in Rabat. They will not see you at either place without an appointment, and even if you make an appointment for a US citizen service, the issue is with him and his payment.

When we did the K1 years ago my now ex-husband was able to pay at the consulate during the interview - and as far as I know, thats regularly a way of payment now. Who told him he is not allowed to pay at the consulate? Was it a reliable person?

Yes, the consulate not the embassy.

He said he asked around, so I don't think it's a reliable person, or he is either on a forum himself in Morocco.

Either way, we figure it out this month or when I arrive for the month of August, how I wish I could have stayed through for his appointment and came back with him, especially with how the world is now :(

I had the same questions as you. My fiancé joined this group on FB which helped him in his native language. Besides, he can only pay cash at the CashPlus in Casablanca. Paying online with www.ustraveldocs.com is a nonstarter. You must pay in advance. If you show up to the interview without paying then they will turn you away for non-payment. CashPlus will know what to do once he shows up with the reference number and cash. Keep the receipt and add that to the documents he will need for the interview. Have your fiancé join the group.
