Youtube is the best, tons of different videos, different speeds etc. Start with a slow one. Most of the Youtube videos is how the interview actually is - ie someone asks you a questions and you answer - you don't see anything in writing, it's all just verbal, and you don't get multiple choice answers.

Agreed, there's one lady who does a good job with these videos on YouTube, but I ain't going to promote it. It's easily searchable.

Great suggestions everyone, thanks! I was just trying to find out about experiences with the apps specifically that are available. We have downloaded the actual question list quite a while ago so she does have a copy. I know she does the youtube videos but sometimes she's easily distracted by youtube videos about restaurant/food critics and other things in Peru and I feel like I sometimes need to light a fire under her you-know-what. I may download the actual one from USCIS from google play and see how it works and try to do a review back here if I can manage to drag myself away from these youtube videos on lagers vs pilsners vs ales. 😁

Wow, I didn't realize there was official app!

People have different ways of learning. I didn't find apps / YouTube distracting personally.

Glad that worked for you! I would get distracted by the pace and how the questions were asked. Instead that printed piece of paper was so useful for me.

OK. We downloaded the official USCIS app. So far, it seems ok. One thing I want to check is if the multiple choice answers are the same on the app as they are on the pdf.  So far, it just seems the questions (and multiple choice answers) are taken from the pdf and put into an app. I'll keep you updated.

I just checked. The answers are different on the app - on pdf its any of the options provided constitute a correct answer whereas the app is either one right answer or an "all of the above" choice.

Interesting. It helped me printing PDF and circling my preferred answers (typically, the shortest ones).

Do not use any apps. Just stick to a print out of the pdf and go through them every day. YouTube, apps are just pure distraction.

Opposite for me. The actual test is only verbal - no text. So it was much easier for me to hear the questions asked out loud by someone, verbally, just like the actual test. So Youtube was by far superior to any flashcards or questions on paper. I got the leaflet with all the questions when I went for my biometrics and it didn't help much. The pace of the youtube videos is super great, because there are videos in all paces, so pick and choose one that fits you. I started out with slower ones where they repeated the question twice, then moved on to faster ones. At the end, I managed to answer all the questions with the video that was called something like "100 questions in 1 minute", where they only ask questions and don't give the answers. It was super fast.

Count me as one of those that preferred using apps.

I tried a couple, but really liked Citizen Now by Liontude. Nice interface, geo-populated data (so local congresspeople are there), flashcards, audio, even worked with Android Auto. It generated random 10 quiestion tests and allowed for you to create special tests with difficult questions.

I am grateful that we live in times where folks can utilize any number of tools based on how they learn.
