Hi all,

I had my interview two days ago and was informed that while everything looked good, I was missing a police certificate (I did bring one, but it was not the appropriate version they required) so I was handed a 221(g) letter and was told "it should be easy to fix once I sent it".

I was so anxious I forgot to ask about how long after I submitted it I would hear back 😔 But, I sent my document yesterday and under USTravelDocs it comes up as 'Delivered to post' (it says it for passport so maybe I'm miss-understanding something, but the email from the currier the embassy uses told me to check on that website), and they also told me they would deliver the docs to the embassy by EOD yesterday too.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Getting the refusal but having the embassy keep your passport? How long did it take to get your approval afterwards?

My interview was in Stockholm, if that's helpful.

Thank you everybody in advance!

This simply means that they were satisfied with the interview and once they receive the right document, they will update your file and approve your visa, just be patient and give it a few days after for them to get everything done, congratulations.

Okay so we're back on the waiting game it seems 😅 They all treated it like it should be that way. I'm wondering how long it will take, because I see all sorts of things online!

But thank you for your kind words, means a lot!

Congrats! :D

I am going to Stockholm in less than two weeks!

What version of a police certificate did they require? I only know of one type, so that is what I ordered. X_X

Also, did you buy and bring a paid envelope through Postnord so they could ship your passport to Denmark? 😃

Thank you!! And good luck 🙌 the issue was with a particular requirement from the certificate from Argentina, it needed to have a certain specification that I didn't know about but it was detailed on the Embassy in Argentina website. I didn't think to check on that one, since I wasn't applying from there.

I got an envelope from the hotel I was staying at, and then took it to the document drop off point that they detail on their website! It was free to do that way, but you can also use PostNord.
