Hi guys!!

I previously stated that my mom had died and I needed to travel for her burial. However the burial is on May 23rd 205 and I got noticed yesterday that my interview is scheduled for June 16th 2025.

If there any way I can have that interview pushed forward since it's an emergency. I applied to adjust my status on Oct 24th 2024 from B2 visitor visa within in usa.

Do you have an AP to go to the funeral? Do you have an overstay at all - even a day or so?

You may just need to stay put until your green card interview is over.

So if you didn’t apply for an AP and you overstayed your visa, how do you intend to come back to the US if you reschedule your interview? What kind of visa would you come with?

I never said I wanted to reschedule. I said I wanted to push forward my interview to an earlier date

Asking for any other date than you got is rescheduling.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Flexibility isn't something USCIS offers often. You got interview letter with USCIS address on it. You can not only call USCIS asking for reschedule, but also send letter asking for earlier date. The chance of getting earlier date is very low. And even if you get interview sooner, you may not get decision on same day.

Good luck and keep us posted. Again, sorry for your loss.

I'm not trying to get advance parole. I am trying to get an earlier interview

How long do you plan to be in your home country?
