(a bit silly that the paper needs to be maintained as an origional in perfect condition, but it is what it is) ...

We folded wife's original extension letter.  No issues.  The original can be distinguished from a copy.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Was reading up on all of this ....
Our next trip is before we file the I-751.
We were considering another trip after where the I-751 would be in process...

So I get in the second case, we need to perfectly preserve the NOA1 from the I-751 showing the extension (a bit silly that the paper needs to be maintained as an origional in perfect condition, but it is what it is) ...

Seems that that technically is enough but hoping that if there was more to secure, that we could get that in place before the trip(s).

I travelled multiple times, I think 4-5 while I-751 was pending.

For the most part, it was smooth.

You can get a plastic folder from Amazon / stationaries store and keep extension letter in it, saving it from bending and folding too much.

Here's thread where people post their experience travelling with extension letters:

In general, I'd keep USCIS notices like this in a safe place even after you naturalize, just in case they ever have any queries.

Mine came folded in the mail.

Folding is generally not an issue, unless one folds it 10+ times to the point it becomes fragile and unreadable after unfolding.

Now that I think back, wife's came folded, too...LOL.

... print evidence for I-751 / N-400

@OldUser, less than a month till we submit our I751 with 100 pages of photos, relevent proofs, and ~100 more of attachments (statements and such).

The question I might have for you is, based on all the forums you have been following, the N400 proof document ... should it be 751 proof + next year's (i.e. a continuation) or a new document spaning 751 submission until N400 submission ...

Thoughts?

Seems online that it is everything but since can be uploaded electronically, trying to plan how to structure the documentation so can continue to capture in preparation for N400 next year

I'd say for N-400, most people submit new evidence since I-751 filing. It takes about a year after submitting I-751 when people become eligible to file N-400.
