Hey everyone. Hubby had his N400 interview today in San Antonio. They didn't let me in(no biggie). He was in and out in about 15mins max. They told him he will be getting a letter with the date of his oath ceremony shortly. His questions were:

Who makes federal laws?
Who does a US Senator represent?
What is one reason colonists came to America?
Who wrote the Decleration of Independence?
Who is the Father of our Country?
Why does the flag have 50 stars?

Question he had to read:
Who elects Congress?

Answer he had to write:
The people elect Congress.

It was really fast and easy from what hubby said and the guy was extremely nice. They didn't ask to see any of the documentation he brought other than his GC.

Filed under 5 year rule on April 15

Did biometrics on April 21 (rescheduled from a date in May at a much further away location--I'm confused why the default location for the Chicago area is in Michigan City, Indiana, when there are plenty of Application Support Centers in the Chicago area).

Case changed to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" on the same day.

P.S. Anyone know how we find out the Filing Location/Processing Center used for us? Mine just says NBC/National Benefits Center for the biometrics appointment, the last notification I received.

On May 22 (t+37 days) interview was scheduled for July 8. Progress bar still says 13 months until decision, so I don’t really put any faith in it.

Is was 6/16/25, we got the letter on 6/21/25. I tossed the envelope already and so don't have the postmark though.

It is indeed a very short notice.

Usually more notice is given, your office may be super busy and they found a slot after somebody rescheduled their oath. Good luck!

I was notified that they can't fix the name error on the notice until the interview. Filed on the 1st and still no interview scheduled. Hopefully that name typo doesn't drag the process.

Estimated time right now is showing 2 months but highly doubt that's even close.
