Oh gosh, that doesn't help my anxiety at all 😢

Yes, our interview was on August 5. Apologies I didn't make that clear in my reply.

I understand. Just be patient and don't worry too much, yet. I would say give it a good 90-120 days.  If they didn't point out anything wrong in the interview, and you aren't getting an RFE, it's likely just back log. Are you assigned to the Atlanta USCIS field office? I have heard they are quite slow.

We also filed in March but we are still waiting for our interview to be scheduled.
I know someone who just had theirs scheduled from when they filed in December.  So, I know we may still have a few months.

As others have said, it varies case to case and office to office. I would imagine the California USCIS field offices can experience delays due to the higher volume of immigration out there. I am not sure if this helps, but I checked stats on https://www.casestatusext.com/.  I did a rough estimate for I-485 cases filed in March. (This includes non K1 cases as well). About 50% of those who filed in March are still waiting for an interview to be scheduled. You are still well within the current "normal" processing time. Hang in there. :)

And you are right, many field offices are clearing up late 2024 cases. Best of luck to you all. :)

@Rachel n Tyler During our interview we did bring the updated vaccination which was handed to the officer in the beginning of the interview. I brought pretty much everything all the letters received from USCIS, NVC, all her Birth certificates and I-94, more pictures and etc but in the end it was only the vaccination and our ID that were needed by the officer. Most of the questions were directed to me mostly basic like where you met, how many times have you visited her.

I did post here how the interview went. Your more than welcome to ask me anything if I can be of any help. 😊

Is an updated vaccination record required?  We are about 15 days out from our interview. I was under the assumption the vaccines from K1 Medical, and state-side medical were sufficient.

Friends of ours had their interview on July 29th and no movement since, other than about an hour after they left the interview, their case status changed to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS". I'm in a support chat for folks with cases pending here at the Denver Field Office and some get the approval the next day and many others have waited 60ish days until their case decision.

I did a search on the subreddit. I saw some people who got approvals at about 60 days. It definitely does happen.

His wife, like Jaycel, was missing the polio vaccine from the medical exam done at SLEC in Manila because they were not aware of the new requirements from the CDC when they did their medical. We got Jaycel the polio vaccine here at a CVS and went to a civil surgeon to do the vaccine assessment part of the I-693 to add the polio vaccine to her record and brought the sealed report to the interview. Check the DS-3025 and see what they have marked down for Polio.... if it's not completed you will likely get an RFE at the interview to get it done. If you have 15 days before the interview, you should have time to get it taken care of

Well that certainly had me a little stressed. We found the DS-3025 from SLEC pretty quickly, and she did not get the polio vaccine there. An hour later, we finally found the copy of the I-693 from the civil surgeon. She got the polio vaccine at the civil surgeon.(OPV weirdly enough).  The civil surgeon also marked the "Applicant completed vaccination requirements..." box. I think she will be good then.

Yeah logically I know I shouldn't worry, especially after dealing with the inconsistency of the K-1 process, but it's just one of those things because they didn't point out anything wrong in the interview and we aren't getting an RFE. I have to assume the worst, plus it just puts a hold on my wife's and I's plans sadly.

And yes we interviewed at the Atlanta USCIS field office and based on this experience, I can confirm they are quite slow 🤣

I did updated for my wife before our interview. (That was a whole and expensive process we had to go through lol) But while we did do it and we did hand the interviewer the updated vaccination record she did looked puzzled on why we did it though she did accept it and scanned it in.

To note our interview was at the Honolulu office.

Perhaps, you got extra doses. The civil surgeon my wife went to said she could come back for optional doses not required for immigration. I didn't really look into the optional doses, but he marked her off complete on the I-693.

Sorry for context we live in Hawaii in one of the neighboring islands. Since the only certified civil surgeon is an island away we have to spend a good amount to get there, traveling, potentially stay over night and paying for the services. For us to go to the USCIS office for her interview was a couple hundred just to fly to get there not including, getting around the island and staying overnight.

I would really like to understand why her case is taking 3x longer than anyone else's case on the forums.

One person reported their EAD taking 9.5 months a few days ago.  This is one of the major disadvantages of a K-1.

It’s just that it says on the interview letter we need it.. It just pisses me off because it’s a big company, how does it take weeks to have a letter state his hours and wage?
