"A few million here, a few million there, and soon it adds up to real money."  -- some former Senator (not verbatim)

Meanwhile, Joe Public is wondering whether saving a dollar here and a dollar there is going to make a difference with affording the rent, the groceries, the next  medical bill, etc.

The sheer arrogance of the Washington machine, the political class and the career politicians regarding the amount of taxpayer money that is going to programs they have never heard of/would never approve of is mind-blowing. And they only care to keep the money train going.

Meanwhile, the MSM is running cover, demonising those that want to improve the lot of the average American. Because dependency gives the power, and power is what they crave above all else.

Iit’s sickening.☠️

Turns out they are super smart about all of this grift as well; tie that grift into something that at least sounds good, for instance, "feeding the poor" and then you take that and rent an office space (most likely in a facility owned by a spouse, or child, or cousin, etc (I'm sure in the name of a mysterious LLC) of some mostly Democrat representative, but I'm sure more than a few Republicans have gotten their bite at the apple as well - at astronomical lease terms. Then, of course, the whatever organization it is administration officials (my guess is also fairly close relatives to said representative) must get paid something just shy of a million dollars (don't forget all the benefits -401K, health) a year to run this operation while leaving just a grand or two to feed those poor people.

Then we have the media: "Donald Trump and Elon Musk are Cutting Funding to Feed the Poor!" while neglecting to mention any of the corruption.

I remember growing up in the 70's and 80's and always hearing about the $7.00 hammer that the government pays $10,000 for. That hammer story pales in comparison to this kind of corruption.

Foreign Aid Official Who Resisted DOGE Took Secret Payments After Steering Africa Money To Friend

A foreign aid official who refused the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to his agency’s financial records may have had a reason to keep auditors out: he steered illicit contracts to a friend who sent him secret payments, according to a law enforcement affidavit obtained by The Daily Wire.

Mathieu Zahui, chief financial officer of the African Development Foundation, refused to grant DOGE access to its books and told the White House that the agency would not acknowledge President Donald Trump’s appointee as chairman of the board. After a dramatic showdown in March, DOGE physically took over the building with U.S. Marshals, but control of the agency is now the subject of a lawsuit objecting to “swooping in with DOGE staff, demanding access to sensitive information systems” — an objection that reads differently in light of the criminal probe.

For years, workers at the small, USAID-adjacent federal agency focused on Africa have told oversight bodies about allegations of self-dealing, procurement violations, and mysterious offshore bank accounts, many of them involving Zahui. But little was done about it, several told The Daily Wire.
