The processing time for my FO is 8.5 months. In my case, no pending I-751. I've heard of a few people who were scheduled for their interview before their 5-year anniversary (the interview was after the 5-year anniversary, of course) but it seems an uncommon occurrence.

Hopefully, you will hear the good news soon. From my personal experience, I think it all depends on how busy your local Field Office is. The background checks have same set time it takes for everyone assuming all clean record ones same time and all with history same time accordingly. Rest it all about Field Office processing speed. I thought Phoenix FO will be so empty since it is not as populated state as some others. But when I went to interview there were over 40 people in the waiting room.

BTW, I love your DP.

Timeline:

Feb 13 – Submitted case online.

Feb 13 – Received NOA1 with case #.

Feb 13 – Received biometric reuse letter.

May 27 - Interview Scheduled for 15 July 2025 (PDF copy in USCIS account).

July 15 - Approved.

Aug 6 - Ceremony/Pending...

Still waiting on the oath ceremony scheduling, but I have TWO international trips in the next few months, and considering my luck I just know it's going to be either during or right before, lol. So an emergency passport is in the forecast. I know I have to be within 14 days of the trip to be able to make an emergency appointment. Can I schedule an appointment before for after the ceremony, or do I have to wait to be a citizen to even make the appointment? I don't want to inadvertently make a "false claim of citizenship".

Example:  Oath is 8/21. Trip is on 8/28. Make appointment on 8/18 (not a citizen yet) for 8/25 (citizen).

Also, how certain is it to be able to even get an appointment? Are there cases where appointments are just not available, period? Under no circumstances am I rescheduling the oath. So I want to plan ahead to minimize the economic impact on cancelling/rescheduling my trips.

I guess they changed the ‘actively reviewed’ language to ‘still being processed’ today or recently.

Honestly I don’t hate the update, it’s certainly more accurate this way.

Yep, I guess it's to lower expectations. Many people thought actively reviewed means somebody is actually looking at the file all this time. Then calling USCIS / chatting to Emma: "So what's taking so long for officer to decide on my case? I've seen status for the past 3 months" 😅

Amazing they didn’t make the change sooner. Can hardly blame people for thinking actively reviewing means actively reviewing 😂

You can make a reservation with AA to any country they fly not claiming to be a US citizen without purchasing it, its good for 24 hours. NOW YOU HAVE A VALID RESERVATION. Make the passport appointment for 8/18, (it does not matter if yu reservation has expired by the passport appointment date, they just look at the reservation printout to verify your name and the dates of travel). If the passport appointment comes around and still you are not a US Citizen, just get online and cancel it. Keep the 14 days in mind to request the passport appointment.

In these cities you can get your passport in the same day using the "reservation ticket" described above. Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Stamford, and Washington, D.C.  I don't know why Miami is not listed, I did last year down here.

I am more or less same situation as you. Filed couple weeks after, but also 90 days early. RoC still pending. It’d be nice to hear something soon.

We are still waiting for an interview to be scheduled as well. Filed 2/18. Conditions removed, no pending I-751. Filed 90 days before 3 year mark. 8 month wait at local field office. MyProgress decision estimate is 2 weeks, not that it matters.

Wow your lifting conditions processing time was 🔥

MyProgress currently showing 2 months for me. Again, not that it matters 😂
