Our Noa2 was July 31 and still nothing from NVC. I've been calling everyday except yesterday (but they replied to my email yesterday after two weeks haha) and said that they still haven't received my case. I'm hoping that they are just ignorant of if my case has come and gone and I'll receive a notice in the mail soon- today?! Please NVC?!

I like how they tell us to call back in a month to check on our case. I'm sure all of us find that as dumb as I did. After all the delays the April filers had- as if we are all going to sit back and wait MORE without knowing anything about our case.

Ours was received by NVC on August 9th and is still under review. I wonder if it's a bad sign - usually if everything's OK they send it out almost immediately, no?

Ditto when I just called. She said "2 to 4 weeks or up to 90 days" . When she asked when I was approved she sounded surprised that I had even bothered to call about it. I told her it was ridiculous to have something take this long just because it is sitting in a mailroom.

Well its time for more of the wait and see routine. I hope everyone is keeping up with their timelines and announcing when their petitions are actually arriving at NVC, I want to stay on top of this in case I initiate a congressional.

This seems to be a common theme for Russian Petitions of late. You should be out of there pretty soon. Check in the Russian forum, I remember reading about this same thing back in June I believe. From what I understand this is routine. One question though, have either of you had a previous petition or been denied a Visa in the past? It is pretty common for an "Administrative Review" (most are very short duration) to happen if this is the case.

Hang in there.

No but I have two prior trips to US, one on J1 (long ago) and one on B1 (recent) visa. Perhaps this causes extended security checks.

got a touch yesterday (Monday) and another touch today. Just got off the phone with CSC (via RFE trick)......guess what???

APPROVED !!!! as of yesterday Aug. 20th. I'm so exhausted from the mind numbing, non-transparent, insane delays, it will take 24 hours for me to smile about this. However, with the bowling ball removed from my ankle, perhaps i will be slightly more agile than before. Nice to join the big boys in the NOA2ers club. Best of luck to all of you..........

Brian & Jing..

mailed I129-F.......April 13

receipt notice........Apr 24

touch....................Aug. 16

touch....................Aug. 20

touch....................Aug. 21 (today)

called (via RFE) Aug 21 (today)

she said we were approved as of yesterday Aug. 20

I was told to expect email notification within 2 days,

and snail mail notification within a week.

She was VERY kind and seemed to enjoy giving us the good news.
