Hi everyone!

Can anyone provide some incite on how to transfer my fiancé visa case from Poland to another country, ie Mexico? I have a lawyer that seems to be worthless and have been trying to transfer this care for about 10 months now. I guess I have to take it into my own hands. I can't get ahold of anyone in the NVC and not sure who or how to go about this transfer. Any help would be appreciated

if your case is still at the NVC, you can submit an inquiry to them about transferring your case, you can do that here.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Calling the NVC usually doesn't get you anywhere

if your case has already left the NVC and is at the embassy, you need to contact the embassy you want to transfer it to and they will initiate the transfer from the original embassy.

What is the basis for transferring?  You cannot "consulate shop."  If you have moved to another country and have legal status there, then it is possible.

You need to send a public inquiry to NVC on their website. Prepare to write and provide proof for justification for transferring. That is usually a copy of the long term resident visa, residence permit or citizenship in the country you’d like to transfer to.
