So my wife's sister registered for a tourist visa.months ago the system said appointment for vac is June 11.is she supposed to get an email soon? How many days before appointment do they usually send a email? Dominican Republic

What does ‘vac’ mean?  Do you mean the interview?

Long story short,my wife's sister is applying for a tourist visa.for the vac she didn't get an email but she completed that part on June 11.now she has interview for tourist visa on Sept 10.she hasn't gotten an email for that either.is she supposed to get an email before the interview? It's confusing because when I did the cr1 process for my wife we got emails 😄

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

What email are you expecting? Your wife’s CR1 has nothing to do with a tourist visa, they’re completely difference processes.
