Whites a minority in 10 percent of U.S. counties

I'm going to tune in another 17 pages, and here's my predictions. It will be 16 pages of Boo-Yah dancing around his point, which is that there are too many minorities, they're getting special treatment, and they're curiously lazy because of their 'culture', and 16 pages of other people attempting to reason with him.

100 million minorities includes anyone who isn't of Caucasian ancestry. (That means it includes your model Asians, Boo-Yah.) It says nothing about assimilation or the person being on welfare. It says nothing about the distribution or relative racism in society. And I'm not sure where we get the idea that people get more welfare if they're black, but if you actually check the poverty guidelines for your state, there isn't a 'Whites' and 'Browns' line.

Canada should accept all of these minorities. I can see exactly how many extra points they get during the Canadian immigration process, for being a minority..

Funny you should say that because a college admittance officer specifically stated that if I was a black single mother, with a child, I would qualify for a number of financial aid schemes.

Mmmhmm. FAFSA doesn't take into account race. That's how federal aid is determined in this country. It does, however, take into account whether you're the head of household and the size of the household. So yes, she'd get more money, but it's not because she's black.

Wow...ever seen the points system? None of the sections have anything to do with ethnicity or race. In no way do I know anyone who is so concerned with assimilation as you seem to be. Congrats to you though. Congrats to being the biggest ####### I have had to encounter in while

Milwaukee has a large Hispanic population. The city is incredibly segregated, between blacks, whites and Hispanics. In the Hispanic neighbourhoods, Spanish is spoken and signs are in Spanish. Like there are signs in English in coastal areas of Spain for the British tourists.

I'm not sure what your point is. English is spoken predominantly in this country, so if you come here and can't speak the language, you are at a disadvantage. Economically, you will be better off learning English - it will open up more avenues for you.

If, in the future, Spanish becomes the dominant language, the same will be true. If you refuse to learn it, you will be at a disadvantage.

Assimilation? Do you mean purely in terms of language or is there more to that? As a Brit, what I am supposed to do to assimilate? Would you refuse me the right to celebrate Guy Fawkes night, as it has no relevance to American society?

The only White guy in our old neighborhood was a complete idiot. He had inherited the house when his dad died and he never worked it seemd but the lights were on all damm night. He once stoled firewood out of my backyard becaus his yard was adjacent to mine. One day ATB raided his house and found a meth lab, and explosives in his house. He and his live in had 5 kids in the house which they never bathed it seemed. Off to prison, Kids in foster care of other relatives and the brown / black / english-spanish speaking hood was safe again !

You said it. Much like in Australia, a country where almost 1 in 5, is a migrant. Everyone is treated equally.

Here you have affirmative action and a range of other ####### which prevents people from being treated equally. That is my point.

No such thing as a minority in Aus..
