Hello:

So I applied form I130 For my brother who is from Tunisia. The form was accepted on July 8th 2014. Today I recieved a text from uscis saying that they transferred my case from California center to Elis and a new recipt number starting with IOE is provided (instead of the original wac receipt number).

So I'm confused as to why this movement? How do yall think it will affect the case so far?

Does that mean we are starting over with a new priority date?

Thank you in advance.

USCIS has been moving towards digitizing existing cases and offering online filing for more and more forms in the last few years. Your PD won’t be affected, it will be the same. This is just part of their effort to be more digital.
