Some help with VJ photos please...

I have been trying to add more photos to my profile. but I keep getting a message that my quota will be exceeded if I add another one. My total is supposed to be 1024k in space. It says that I have 996k used. But that's wrong. When I add up the sizes of all my posted photos, it only equals about 630 or so. Anyone know what i can do? I've already resized the photos that are posted and they range in size between 50k and 90k or so each. I've seen some profiles that have pages of photos. And the sizes seem to be like mine. What can i do to add more?? Bummed out.

these pics are jpg's, correct? those take up the least amount of room.

Yeah, they're jpegs. and the sizes are all between 50-90k. I have only 10 posted on my page. is it possible to start a new album and have more space?? I just dont get it. Not really a big deal, but still would like to share more. Oh well.

may have to ask ewok this one - maybe vj adds something to the file size?

Jason, you can then add those photos via their URL (look at the bottom of the Add Photo menu). That way you can display a lot more photos here on VJ because they are not actually stored here, but on Photobucket or a similar type of photo storage site.

i think what he meant was this - put the photos in a photobucket account and leave it public, put a link on your profile to it so anyone viewing your profile can see the link and go there and view the pics.

Ah, ok. But for future reference, you can simply add the URL link to photos and thereby increase the number of photos you can display here on VJ.

Below that...do you see the lines for URL uploads? Paste the URL from the photo's web location there.

Well i just tried to add a URL to a test photo on photobucket. It said the upload was successful, then when I was placing it in the folder I got a strange message that said the URL could not be placed. Wonder why. Any ideas? You're doing great so far there, Fancypants! Love that name.
