I need advice

My husband went to spouse  visa interview 12/07/2023 in south africa. our 2 year marriage anniversary was on 12/23/2023. My husband didn’t enter the U.S. until feb 2024 which was after two year anniversary

my husband ended up getting a two year green card .

But we got conflicted information saying he got the right one since you guys got approve before the two year anniversary.
Others saying he should have 10 year green card since he enter after two years anniversary.

my husband fill out the I-90 online  and attached proof of entry.  online it said to mail his original green card he has. But he never mail it and still went and did his finger prints .

today my hubby uscis update the I-90 was approved.

i am confuse because he never got a request for evidence to mail his two year greencard ?
back since it’s require . so i don’t know if this means they going to send him another two year or actually 10 year

That's incorrect.

You won't know until you receive the card.

Nothing you can do but wait.

It will likely be a 10 year card and when he applies for citizenship he will be required to relinquish all immigrationdocuments at interview.

Following instructions is very important.

Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

To more appropriately:

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

If anyone can decide a better caregory where it should go, please move.

Well, they approved something.  Please come back and tell us whether you receive the 10 year card he IS entitled to.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Good to hear such an apparently fast approval for the I-90 to fix USCIS's mistake.  I have seen several people recently reporting very fast approvals of I-90's submitted to correct IR cards that had been incorrectly issued as CR.  It seems they may now be expediting such corrections(???)
