There is Facebook group called Jamaica NVC Process where you can get a lot of useful information.

Thank you! I used to actually follow that group but one of the main admins is extremely rude and should just create a blog where she posts information for people to look through instead of creating a "group" where people ask questions and look for support.

But it is definitely a good group to find other people in the same situation.

Hello!

Curious to see what others' timelines look like. I filed in March of 2024, just avoided the pay increase. I am  US citizen who married my English husband late last year. I came home and filed the I-130. Got the receipt notice in the mail a week later. Today

Submitted I-130 03/30/2024,

Receipt received: 04/07/2024

Got email stating an action taken on case: 04/19/2024 No current update on our account though.

Wishing everyone luck that they may be with their loved ones soon!

Curious if there is a thread for those of us abroad. It seems the process is the same but the "domicile" rule of the NVC is a bit different which means the affidavit of support might more likely need a co-sponsor if I understand correctly.

Also. I have found that a lot say it doesn't matter and isn't relevant but our "My Progress" started off with just 4 weeks.

Hi there, I filed my I130 18 March 2024 with the same date for IOE.  My initial progress time was put at 2 months and then a few weeks in, it changed to 2 weeks.  Then last week it went to 3 weeks and back at 2 weeks this past week.

I am the petioning wife, moved to the states about 6 weeks ago with our children to get a job and to be able to combine income with my mum.   British husband is in the UK.

Everywhere you look, it says the process is about 11+ months for the i130 so it's confusing to see such a short timeline on my account.  I'm keeping it in my head about the 11+ months so if it is sooner then that would be a bonus.

US citizen moved back to the states with our children to file, husband remained in England

Ill join you in the confusion with the short "my progress"  It was down to 3 weeks and now its back up to 5 weeks.

Thank you for sharing, I'm fully expecting it to change but it does help to see how others is coming along.  We just keep ticking the days off the calendar.  I'm content with what the real time statistics show, just confused, lol.

I also got this email, as did many others on the USCIS Reddit Sub, but nothing in most of our accounts are updated. MyProgress has changed from 15 months now to 4, but we know that is USELESS.

MyProgress is to be trusted 0%, it's totally useless. Those emails  are what you should get excited about haha the "action made on your case.." BUT when they say nothing in your case status, that's also equally frustrating (as was ours from last week)
