Visa approved at interview, CEAC tracking "Refused"

Hello, I applied for a US B1/B2 visa and went for and interview the 28th of March. The CO said my visa is approved and gave me an approval slip with instructions on how I would get my passport delivered via courier service in one week. When I checked the CEAC website's tracking, it says the visa is Refused (check attached picture) immediately after interview. The status has not changed since. What does it mean? Can somebody please explain.

thats standard. many people experienced the same thing after the interview.refused doesnt mean denied.

just wait up for the status to change

That’s very strange, she could’ve put “Approved” instead and spared me all of this stress.

Approved is not a status that really exists on CEAC, at least I’ve never seen it here. “Issued” means Visa has been printed in the passport. Refused is a very common and usual status after visa interview as verbal approvals do not actually count; it’s the status showing “Issued” showing the true approval.

“Approved” does exist as a status, you can check online. Besides that, how long do you reckon I should wait before inquiring about my application? I’m a little worried because I need my passport to travel next month to Europe.

Hmm I would at least give it another week which would make it 2 weeks post interview. If you need your passport later on you can request it while they make a decision on B2.
