Sunday!  Time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
SEEN AHD HEARD

You have to love the change back to Standard time.  There's nothing quite like watching the sunset while you're eating lunch.

My brother took going to jail really badly.  He refused food and drinks, swore at everyone, and even started throwing things.  After that, we decided never to play Monopoly with him again.

I'm not saying that my wife orders from Amazon a lot, but we just got a wedding invitation from one of their drivers.

I'm taking my box of wine back and filing a complaint.  It said, once opened, that the wine would last 6 weeks -- but it was gone in 3 hours.

:P

We have set a record with 4 consecutive posts of only Sunday's Official and Wednesday's Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Jokes:

===========================================
FRAMED FOR SUCCESS

An attorney called and asked to speak to his client, a wealthy art collector.

He said, "Matt, I have some good news and I have some bad news."

The art collector replied, "You know, I've had an absolutely rotten day, Jack, so let's hear the good news first."

The lawyer said, "I met with your wife today, and she informed me that she has invested only $5,000 in two very nice pictures that she thinks will bring somewhere between 15 to 20 million dollars, and I think she might be right."

Matt perked up and replied, "Amazing!  My wife is such a brilliant businesswoman, isn't she?  You've just made my day.  Now, I know I can handle the bad news.  What is it?"

"The pictures are of you and your secretary."

Hello , if you are renewing c31, it’s completely free. I just sent my application for free and got a reception notice. That’s good news , c31 renewal was payable before under Biden

Yes it is indeed free now. That's something good for new fillers. And i think even I-485 is free for VAWA applicants.

Happy Thanksgiving to all VAWA filers.

Sometimes it may seem otherwise, but there's stuff to be thankful for.

Think about it, latch on to it, and focus on it.  :)

===========================================
THE BLIND GUY AT THE BAR

A blind man entered a bar, carefully, and found his way to a barstool.  After ordering a drink, and sitting there for a while, the blind guy yelled to the bartender, "Hey -- you wanna hear a blonde joke?"

The bar immediately became very, very quiet.  In a husky, deep voice, the woman next to him said, "Before you tell that joke, you should know something.  The bartender is blonde, the bouncer is blonde, and I'm a 6-foot-tall, 200-pound blonde with a black belt in karate.  What's more, the man sitting next to me is blonde, and he's a weightlifter.  The woman to your right is a blonde, and she's a pro wrestler.  Think about it seriously, mister -- do you still wanna tell that blonde joke?"

"No," said the blind guy, "not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times."

===========================================
THE MISSING ANGEL

A man walking down the street suddenly heard a tiny voice above him, saying, "If you take one more step, a brick will land on your head and kill you."

Surprised, the man stopped just as a huge brick crashed down right in front of him.

Stunned, he continued on his way, and after a few minutes heard the voice again:  "Stop!  Don't cross the road!  If you do, the next vehicle will run you over!"

The man froze and avoided being hit by a speeding car.  He sighed in relief and asked the air, "Who ARE you?"

"I am your guardian angel," said the voice joyfully.

"Really?" said the man in sudden anger.  "Then where were you when I got MARRIED?"

Hello ALL, it's been years since I last posted with this account after my initial petition was denied. I was able to appeal the denial and it was approved in 2022. Whew!!! Anyways, I'm ready to file for citizenship and wondering how citizenship applications via VAWA would be treated in this current administration. Has anyone successfully naturalized recently since Trump took office?

My initial VAWA peition was denied with a lawyer and approved when i filed myself smh!! With this new administration, I'll definitely pay a lawyer cos anything can happen these days. I know people currently self-deported or sitting in ICE detention centers due to pending immigration cases.

I know few people successfully applied and become citizenship recently. You should be fine.

May i ask how long after it was denied for your first application? Was it right away and you never receive a prima facie, or was it after a long time it got denied?

That's great to hear. I came across comments in other forums advising people to wait till 5years to avoid interrogation, but I think the sooner anyone can get citizenship, the better cos policies are changing way too fast these days.

It's been so long (almost 10 years since my first application), but I think i filed again 2 years later due to financial reasons, document gathering, etc. I was unprepared with my first submission with the attorney so i took my time to research the process in its entirety, read multiple denial cases and write a solid declaration that covered those gaps (20-pages), and thankfully got approved on my own without any legal help. I must say that my approval took approx. 4+ years the second time. I even sought help from my congressman in Oregon for assistance and sent additional good moral character letters from new people I met along the way.

If you have had an approved vawa,the interview is mostly focuses on the ADMISSIBILITY grounds ( the YES and No questions).

But with in regards to the country you are originating from,be prepared for All.

Bring All the documents you can and mostly what was asked on your interview letter.

Be calm and trust in God through Jesus-Christ his son and He will make it perfect for you.

For her NEVER disappoint those who called upon Him in humility.
