Hi Folks,

I am under pressure to get my son citizenship before his 18th birthday in June, I am completing the online application and it keeps coming up with red error below

I can't see the line that is causing the issue,  your advise on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there

I have entered most of the data such as proof of residency and social security number, do i don't the  grandparent's Certificate of Citizenship number, he moved to US in 1959 and does not know if he has one, could this the issue?, is there a way of contacting USCIS to check the issue?

He should be able to request the certificate?

Yes, it might be an issue.

As part of application, you need to prove citizenship of grandparent.

Thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated  I thought his US passport & social security number would be enough , will request a copy of citizen number from the US embassy in Dublin

You may have waited too long. Just looking at the average processing time it was 23 months. You may want to contact a congressman after filing to speed up the process. It has to be approved before they are 18.

My wife came to the US on an F1 visa about 10 years ago.
