The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I'll be honest and say that it makes me a little sad to be on the inside looking out at some of the great friends I've made who I've spent almost 5 months in the same boat with. Starting tonight they've all (dis-)embarked on to a new phase of their journey. I'm ecstatic for them, but the boat sure is looking a lot roomier now.:D

I was either lucky or my approval was the last to be added to the shipment to NVC.

Received NOA2 on 1/23, NVC received it 1/26 and NVC sent it to Bangkok on 2/1. Confirmed it with a phone call to NVC tonight.

Good luck to the rest of you!!

it DOES feel weird when you're one of the ones 'left behind', but it's only temporary :)

Yeah. Waiting through all the months you sort of feel like a "Class of..." gang. Only not everyone graduates at the same time, and tonight as all those September approvals rolled in, it really hit home. It's not the approvals so much as it is the gang breaking up and going their separate ways. (Cue David Bowie's "Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes"...)

It actually makes sense. Seeing as CSC is on a roll now, they must be filling up those boxes for NVC pretty fast so they send them out at shorter intervals.

5 approvals in one day is fast. For a monday, it's incredible!

Hey mox! I'll keep you company. Even though I'm one of those who have moved on to the next stage, I'll stick around here. Besides, I've got a vested interest in here. ;)

You're too kind. ;) Besides, the west-coast Russian community is small and our wives are bound to run into each other anyway.

(and when we do meet up...ixnay on the unibrow fetish, okay?)

And of course we could always make that happen sooner rather then later. ;)

Gotcha. I gotta warn you though, my girl does read these boards :) And she just might understand en_US@piglatin.po
