What are my chances of getting F1 Visa again after 5-year ban which ended on August 9, 2022? Reasons Inadequate documentation 212 (a)(1)...(Visa Revoked ) and Unauthorized Work

I was banned on Aug 9, 2017, at LAX for unauthorized business activity conducted on F-1 Visa. CBP saw my business lease documents during an inspection after a full interview. So be careful (Side Note). However, I plan to pursue Masters again in US after the ban! Can anyone tell me if there is a possibility of securing F-1 visa, if yes any tips for the interview?

 

Grounds for ban were common 212(a)(1)...inadequate documentation.

I’d say chances are slim.   F-1 is a nonimmigrant visa.   You previously violated the terms of your nonimmigrant visa.   They’ll assume you’ll do it again.

Yes, chances are slim, but a guy with similar case said he got it approved after 6 years. So, it would probably depend on the officers.

Okay.   You asked for feedback, so that’s what you’re getting.   By all means, feel free to go for it.   It is not a chance-based process, and no one else’s situation is relevant to yours.

212 (a)(1) is not the refusal code for inadequate documentation....

Right, 212(a)(7)(A)(i)(I) is. There was a guy on another post from South Africa who said he had to wait out.  After it, it was approved. But depends on the violation as well. So, slim chance is probably right assessment.

But you never know. So if your ban is over apply again but for a legit reason. If its denied even with the ban being over then move on with your life. Best of Luck. Also i'm a girl not a guy lol.
