05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I was up to size 46 at one point. When I got rid of the 2nd Mrs NB . I lost the desire to drink and lost a bunch of weight.  Not really trying to do either

But perhaps the question shouldn’t be how someone like Lizzo could ever engage in this sort of behavior. The better question is, why were we so convinced she was a politically progressive artist in the first place?

To be fair, that idea didn’t come from nowhere. Starting with songs like “Truth Hurts” in 2019, Lizzo successfully paved a path to superstardom as a big, Black woman preaching self-love: something that is absolutely a political act in and of itself. But although her existence in the mainstream may be a comfort to those who crave representation, calling her music itself “progressive” has always been an act of forced projection.

36 falls off of me.  34 is a little too loose. 33 is just right and a little harder to find, BUT I'm starting to get this belly...

Even rarer to find 35, and there are no odd sizes after that.  If you must increase, do it "evenly" from here on.

I went into Infantry basic training as a snug 38 wearing . Got spit out 13 weeks and 3 days of hot Ft. Benning summer a slim size 31. I lived in a small town then. I walked into the bank. My neighbor teller who had known me all my life asked for ID. Many did not recognize me. I have to admit it was a good feeling. 

 

On the flip side I looked like I had just crawled out of a concentration camp. I was weak and guant.
