July filers

Hello,

Just curious whether anyone has experienced any significant delay (more than 4 weeks I suppose) in receiving their NOA1s, perhaps due to the fee increase w.e.f July 30. Could not find a thread for July filers so thought I would start one.

My husband and I sent our I-130 petition on July 16th and TSC received it July 19th. As of today we have not received our NOA1, nor has our check been cashed.

Any other July filers who have/have not received their NOA1?

I sent in my I-129F to the CSC on July 20. Still no NOA1. Check still not cashed. Yes, I'm feeling a little insecure at this moment. I will be woried if the check is not cashed after 2 weeks. I have seen some others that did not get an NOA1 for 2 weeks. The USCIS says "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reminds its customers that the agency’s new fee schedule is effective on Monday, July 30, 2007. Applications or petitions postmarked or otherwise filed on or after that date must include the new fee." I think we are safe but I do feel a bit uneasy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and keeping an eye on my checking account. I do wonder if there is a flood of petitions coming in with people trying to beat the rush. Good luck to all!!

I saw this as well but since it relates to AOS I wasn't sure if the information would be relevant for I-130s. Not sure if AOS applications are sent to the same service centres?

My husband and I sent in our I-130 on July 14th, we have not received our NOA1 but our cheque was cashed yesterday and was able to get our case # off the back of the cheque (got that great idea from a posting on here). At least we know the process as finally started....long way to go yet!

these guys are loaded with lots of stuff right now... i wish they had created a back up of staff to handle extra applications.. but i guess it caught thwem unawares.. thats why lots of NOA are pending and lots of case are not yet completed and fees not encahsed

HI... I sent our I130 on July 16th it was recieved at NSC on July 17th then tranferred to CSC and i reieved NOA1 on July 27th. Hoping NOA2 comes soon.

We filed around the same time as you, like July 16. We received the NOA1 on July 31 and by this time they had already cashed the check. I would suggest calling to inquire about the hold up. Good luck to you. This process should not take this long...

We were in the same boat, and received our approval of the I-130 today. It has been sent to NVC, so perhaps the process is different now?

congratulations on getting your I-130 approved! i looked at your timeline and see that you got your approval pretty fast, lucky you. we got our NOA1 quite soon after i started this thread and we are now waiting for I130 approval. hopefully we'll get it before end oct.
