Summitted I-130 in Aug 2022.

Received an email from USCIS on July 7, 2023. They stated they took action on the case. I logged in and it says:  Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS.

Anyone receive this? Is it getting closer?

Thanks

Stalk your email. NVC will send both petitioner and beneficiary an email on case creation details. You will then need to complete the online DS260, submit Affidavit of Support (I-864) and civil documents.

My wife needs to fill this out or me? I am guessing I would help her. My 9 year old step-daughter needs this also? I presume I complete the affidavit of support for both.

What is the checklist for ds260?

DS-260 Instructions: Additional Forms Needed
  • Birth certificate.
  • Passport.
  • Military records.
  • Police clearance letters.
  • Affidavit of support.
  • Marriage certificate.
  • Marriage termination documents.
  • Proof of address and/or ID from your sponsor.

The next steps are all laid out here - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html

Did you submit another I-130 for your stepdaughter?  If so, what is the status of that case?

Both are approved.

My question is the DS260 documents are for my wife and step-daughter, correct?

2 DS260's and 2 Financial Affidavits need to be filled out meaning paying twice?

Thanks

IIRC, you only need to pay 1 AOS fee.   You will need to pay the IV fee for each  - so 2x IV fees.

Each will get their own case number.  DS-260 by your wife under her case number, DS-260 for you step daughter under her case number.

You will fill out 1 I-864 with your wife as the immigrating person, and another I-864 with your step-daughter as the immigrating person.

Don't know the acronyms.

What is IIRC, AOS, IV?

Fill out 2 I-864 but pay only 1?

Ignore Step 2.

IIRC - If I Recall Correctly.
