Hello everyone,

I have a quick questio

My fiancee had her interview for the K1 Visa and she was approved. Now, the status on the CEAC website says ISSUED but it's been 23 days now and she still hasn't been called to go get the passport with the visa. Can anybody help me understand? We called a couple of time and sent emails but we were just told that she will be contacted as soon as possible

Usually you set up the delivery method when you fill out the forms, or at the interview. Usually it is Mail, or pick up at embassy. Once it changes to issued it means the visa is printed and in the passport. This is embassy specific also, I know the US embassy in thailand, once it is issued, you will have the passport back in 3- 5 days max. You can pick it up at just about any post office in the country, and you select it when you schedule the interview. Maybe check for anyone else who processed thru your embassy, and see if they have some comments or notes about getting their passport back, or how long it took.

Also, double check you have the right email, most embassies have the main email, and then the actually Visa unit will have their own email and be more familiar with your case. If you got that response from the visa unit, then it is probably accurate, but I understand, 23 days seems a little longer than usual.
