I'm guessing Yahoo Chat is pretty popular  its still my favourite haunt these days, most of my friends are still hanging in there :) i'm usually haunting 30's & 40's love rooms, most of the friends i have in there are from the U.S, Canada and Oz, we have some great times just hanging out listening to tunes, having a laugh tormenting the life outta people that come into the rooms solely to start drama

Infact i met my hubby in 30's love:45 but its now gone to the dawgs since a few undesirables decided to invade our once peaceful room and constantly harass and boot myself and my friends out of the room, eventually after weeks of constant abuse we gave up and scattered and found a new room to hang out in.

Separated!!

We met in an IRC chat room in 2001. We were friends for a few years until I cried on Dave's shoulder about an idiot ex. Told Dave I needed to get out of London for a while and he offered to show me around Pittsburgh. I flew over for 10 days in April 05, within 5 days we both admitted to being in love :luv:

Been married 14 months and every day I still can't believe how it all happened.

I had joined a dating site, plentyoffish.com, shortly after getting separated just to get out, meet people and not sit a home thinking about the bad times. I went out on some horrible dates. They were so bad just to get out of them early, I started talking about my failed marriage

One night I thought, well I just want a new friend to talk to, someone that doesn't know anything about me or where I'm from, start off with a clean slate. It was about 2 or 3 am so I thought I would look at other countries and see what they had to offer. When I checked out England, by about the 3rd profile I saw him. Same interests, new in his town and looking for friends as well, and damn was he cute! I decided NOT to email him thinking, 'what am I doing? what if he and I end up liking each other? Do I really want to go through another LDR?' A few days later I was still thinking about him and though, hell, who cares what happens, if anything we can at least crash on each other's couches if we want to visit, I just want a friend.

The rest of the story you can see in my sig :luv:

Josh and I met in a chatroom for a Sims 2 modding website in May/June 2005. Talking in the chatroom progressed onto online gaming together (first GuildWars and then World of Warcraft). We admitted we had feelings for each other in August 2005, and the first visit in Feb 06 just confirmed them :)

We met in 1994 in high school when my family and I moved to Scotland when I was 14. I was "the new girl" and a Yank to boot so I was an object of interest to everyone. I ended up falling for the quiet, shy guy at the back of chemistry class, yes chemistry, who constantly pinged erasers in my hair! He also routinely tripped me up on the way to classes and stuck his tongue out at me- which I must have found endearing :wub:

We got together when I was 15 and he was 16 and about two years later we fell pregnant with our first son. We got married in 2004 and had our second son a year later. So we've been together for 11 years and have finally decided to head west. It took a long time for Malcolm to find the courage to make the scary leap across the pond and I can hardly blame him as he was born and bred in this small town we're in.

It's nice to hear everyones story!

the short story is that Annie asked me for directions to the bathroom.

The whole is that I was stewarding at an event in St Andrews called CLAN and as I had a yellow vest on, I was the appropriate one to ask.

It was immediate attraction, later at the conference while talking in a room with a thousand people there, the whole movie thing happened, the lights dimmed, everyone else disappeared.

You know that whole load a shite that we really do not believe in, but happened to us.

We were married thirteen months later

We were members of the same music related site since 2000, always thought he was nice but we didn't ever really chat.

He messaged me in Nov 05 when I'd just broken up with someone who lives 20 miles from him in the US....We got talking and the rest in history!!

These are really sweet stories guys! Thanks for sharing.

Chris and I met in a Drum Forum. He is a drummer and I am a poser! Ha. Nah, we met on the drum forum talking about music, then started talking on msn or something of the sort. Then we started talking more...then it seemed we were talking to only eachother...then to the point where one of us was staying up late and rushing home from work just to talk. At that point I think we were smitten but not admiting it to ourselves. I would say we knew eachother for about a year before Chris came to visit. Chris visited twice between New Years and March. Then I visited in April. By that point I was in love...Whitby did it to me!! That was 4 years ago and we just got married in June. Totally worth the wait and the distance.

I must say we had it lucky because Chris and I saw eachother every 6-8 weeks. Gosh....I am feeling lovey now....

All You Need Is Love...

*The Beatles*

I am a wife!! Whoa this is weird!
