Hello guys. I have an immigration lawyer helping me with my process. right now we are at the NVC phase.

So my immigration lawyer says that first we need to pay and submit form i-864 with documents and wait until NVC authorizes it (which we don't know how long it will take). Then once the NVC authorizes that form then we can proceed to pay and submit form DS-260 with documents. He states that we need to do it my steps. Is this true? Or can we submit one after the other straight away?. I haven't seen anywhere that we need to doit that way.

Thank you

The only thing you have to wait for is the payment, once that has been processed (can take up to a week, as per the website below) you can then submit the DS-260 and docs in any order.

Pay both fees.  Once they show paid, submit at will.  No "waiting" to submit.  The wait is after submission.
