I had my interview on Friday everything was going well…  until it get to my birth certificate and police report area.  First am not a Dominican by birth but a resident holder in DR for 9yrs now which I presented my Dominican Republic police report as well an old  police report I got from my country years back including print out my birth certificate. The visa officer told me categorically that not is wrong with my application only she needed updated police report from my home country as well  original copy of my birth certificate that the two should send to them via mailbox once I have it also with my passport back.

Consulates will never accept just a print out of a birth certificate. You actually need an original birth

Ok.

Do you have a question?

How long it takes to hear from the consulate after submitting the document requested from me

Probably a few weeks

Hi

how are you doing today?  Just want to keep posted with my case…. The documents requested of me has since been submitted but my case status remains as “refused” also I observed the note below changes as well from request for documents to administrative processing. So my question is how long would it take for my case status to change since last update date keep changing  but status never changes

There’s no way to predict how long it’ll take. There is no standard timeline

I just checked my case status was updated to yesterday

Case Last Updated:

04-Mav=2023

A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete.

Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy

I had my interview 14th of April  in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. which I forget to go with my original copy of my birth certificate so I was given 221G to submit the documents as well send my passport back with it… I sent out the documents on April 30th got to the Embassy on 4th of May of which I checked my status  it shows  “ Refused” ever since then no update has been made on my case but today it was  updated and still “Refused “. So my question is as anyone in this forum experienced this before and what should be my expected.
