NVC received our petition…

I’ve looked through the forum but all the forms are confusing me. We just received an email from the NVC stating they have received our petition and are now sending it to the Consulate - yay! So now…

1. When I log on to the CEAC website, it only says “In Transit” and that the interview date was provided by the NVC. As stated above, we’ve only just received an email confirming our case number and their receipt of the petition…But we haven’t received the interview date. Does this arrive once the petition has reached the Consulate?

2. On the NVC website, their timeline states I need to pay fees now that our case has been created…do they send more information on how much the fees are? I’m unable to see any fees when I log onto the CEAC website yet.

3. I know I need to fill out the Affidavit of Support form…but where do I file it? Or does my fiancée have to bring it with her to the interview?

4. I saw on the USCIS website that she needs to bring a Police Certificate to the interview, “If you have resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, you are required to obtain a police certificate from the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO).” Where can she attain this document, as their website is currently under maintenance and has been for a while?

5. For the medical exam, does the Consulate send the list of panelist’s who are able to do this exam AFTER they’ve received our petition?

6. Any other advice? I’ve done sooo much research on all of this but it’s starting to get jumbled and I’m loosing track of timeframes and where and when not to send forms.

1.  NVC does not schedule K-1 interviews.

2.  K-1s do not pay fees to NVC.

3.  Fiance will take the I-134 to interview.

VisaMedicals in London is the only accredited clinic for US visa applicants in the UK -- https://visamedicals.co.uk/united-states/

Once CEAC status turns "Ready", submit the DS-160 form, pay the MRV fee, then book the K1 visa interview appointment through the online portal -- https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv

Okay. Do I need to wait for more information from NVC/Consulate before booking anything?

As I mentioned before, we’ve literally just received the email from NVC stating they received our petition and will now send it to the Consulate as of  3 hours ago. Do I need to slow down and wait for more information from them? I read from the gov website that we’re supposed to received a “Welcome Letter” from NVC stating the documents she needs to bring…salamat po :)

We are in the same boat. Here is what I know based on where you are now.

1. You can complete the DS-160 print/email the confirmation page. Your fiance will need this for interview/scheduling.

2. the 134 form depending on your embassy may be uploaded or may need to be taken to the interview. This is embassy dependent is my understanding

3. The welcome letter is from the embassy and I believe that is considered packet 3. I think there is a form in this to request police report as well and should include medical facilities designated by them. You can check that on the website for the embassy in UK as well. I think I may have even checked the state department website for this.  (like you I have done so much research and between excitement and ensuring everything is done correctly it's getting a bit hazy)

4. Lastly-you will never go wrong by waiting until they inform you of what you need. However the tips and tricks spread sheet in your month NVC to embassy thread (22 pages of information) is very helpful.

Tip: on that spread sheet there's hack on tracking DHL mail sent. You should take a look at it.

I hope that helps a bit.

Our status changed to ready on the 22nd and we haven't received anything from the embassy yet. Someone else who had theirs received on the same day looks like they've scheduled an appointment already which is super confusing.

My fiance was able to get their ACRO but it I think the site went down shortly after. I looked at their Twitter and it looks like they are saying in some of the comments that they can take requests via email. @ACRO_Police_CST

You do need your ACRO to go to the medical and can pay to have it expidited.

I agree that it's super confusing. When you go to sign up to register with courier it asks if you've received your instruction letter from the consular section or immigrant visa unit. The links that came from NVC said we could start the process to schedule interview.  The site said we can contact 2 weeks after noa2 without receiving our instruction letter so we're going to submit and inquiry tomorrow.

Hope that helps a little.

4. ACRO are accepting applications via email, as mentioned above. They sent me the forms via email last Friday, I completed them and returned this with all the requirement supporting documents later that day. They phoned me on Saturday to take a card payment over the phone, and I've had confirmation today that our certificates are on their way to us (should be delivered tomorrow).

An okay. Thank you for that info on the ACRO.

Register with courier? What is this for? As of yesterday, we only received an email stating that they received our petition and are forwarding it to the Consulate. I assume we’ll be getting more information at some point, either by mail or email?

Welcome and Congratulations on your approval!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2  K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy.

A few helpful NVC links:

 NVC phone number is  (603)334-0888

🚨  Please note:  They are currently NOT answering queries over the phone! 🚨

They are answering through the below email :

➡️  NVCinquiry@state.gov ⬅️

Once you’ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

If you need to change an address or need to update your info in anyway NVC has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request as well as other requests:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been put together by VJ Member Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read first as these are the most asked questions.

I was previously including a 2023 shipping dates chart that’s created based off last years data, but I’ve been told the shipping dates have changed this year and I have not located an accurate chart. In any case, they are sent every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so  if anyone has an accurate shipping chart, please feel free to share it below!

Hi Annikka, my advice would be to keep checking Ceac website. As soon as the status changes from in transit to ready you can register on the UK American consulate Web page, which will then take you through all the next steps. You just need to complete you DS160 for the ref number they give you for this, and have your NVC Case number.

I had my medical Tuesday and Interview booked for the 24th April. As of yet have not recieved a welcome letter.

We just got the letter from the embassy today and the nvc email saying our petition was sent on March 15th.

The courier is for how the passport will be sent back after the interview. You register at the time you get sign up for your interview. We've be trying to sign up all day without luck.

We did see that someone who had their packet sent the same day as us had signed up for an interview the day after they saw ceas status change to ready but we weren't comfortable checking the box that says we certify that we recieved the instruction letter from the immigration visa unit.
