Anyone have any ideas how I can go about having a scrapbook made in about ten days. The book only needs to be between 15-20 pages. I live in the Chicago land area. I could do it myself, but I do not have an artistic bone in my body.

if there is a photo store near you like Kits Cameras, see if they have digital scrapbooking. then you can upload your photos into preset layouts and print them, put them into your book and voila. I had to do that for our interview, since our wedding was so close to it.

google is your friend. I am a scrapbooking freak, and just with google I've had thousands of ideas, including templates for wedding pages and other types... you can use pretty much everything: paper of all kinds, fabric, rope, sequins.... woohoooooooo - once you get into it you'll be forever a slave he he ;)

Good luck, L.

So so true. I've been scrapbooking for 4 years and I love it. I used to go to weekly 'crops' and spend 4-6 ours with my scrapping buddies. My favorite is making borders...helps you put together a book in short order. I was doing it every weekend but it's kind of ground to a halt with our recent move and AOS interview. I'll be back at it soon as I unpack the boxes.

I made a scrapbook for my husband to take to his interview. I had never scrapbooked before and had no idea what I was doing. But the book came out great. I just started out simple, nothing fancy. I also used a small scrapbook 8" x8". I found it easier to work with. Good luck!

The crop is when you get together with friends and scrapbook! The goal is to get pages made-you share tools and ideas and stuff. First things to start off with are a book and a good set of paper. Don't be afraid of patterns and stuff-just be careful to match colors. My friend is a Creative Memories consultant and she's also done digital scrapbooking-no matter how you do it, I'm sure it will turn out great!

There are even pre-made pages at most scrapbook stores. The smaller ones are better at offering this. My little neighborhood scrapbook store has pre-made 12 x 12 pages you can buy. It is pricy to do this and you can certainly do it yourself cheaper. And, it's BS.....I've heard more people say they aren't creative and it turns out they really are. It just takes some effort. There are so many cool things out there. I've been scrapping and making cards for about 7 years now and I LOVE it.

Good luck in your quest.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

Thank you guys for all of your input. I will try my very best. I am not a crafty person at all. I have no choice now, my deadline is near. I did join the website scrapbook.com, but I can not even figure out how to post in the Illinois forum in order to ask some of those ladies who would be interested in a small project.

I'm a total newbie with scrapbooking, but I wanted to do a little album with wedding pics. I went to a store and got one of these kits that included papers, stickers,...all color coordinated and stuff. All I needed else was glue and scissors. Just what I needed to get started without investing too much money (the kit was $9.90 and I got it for 25% off).

I love it and will definitley do more scrapbooking.
