Traveling next month to India, My green card isn’t here yet but I do have my extension notice. Passport under maiden name and green card letter under married. What do I use and bring during travel?

I’m scared about the name difference because I’ve heard some people say marriage certificates can/can’t be accepted sometimes.

Unless you update the passport, its the only option other than cancelling. Its done regularly. Book flights in the name on your passport

As long as I file under my passport maiden name I should be ok to travel with my I797 receipt ?

Wait @Kyuutie what is your current status?

Do you have a conditional 2 year GC?

Are you travelling with it and valid extension letter?

 

So names on extension letter and GC match?
