I-864 Affidavit of Support Problem filling out PDF

Hello All,

We received and RFE for our I-485 application because of the I-864 Affidavit of Support.

 

Can someone please tell me the proper way to fill this out?

We believe this is the cause of the RFE, the form auto fills household size to 1.

So the only way for us to change it was print it then cross out the 1 and change it to 2.

But we are now seeing online we aren't supposed to do it that way.

 

Could someone please clarify?

You're supposed to put 1 on the very top box. That will add it to 2 at the bottom box.

 

Are you the one sponsoring your wife or someone else is a joint sponsor?

Thank you, yes I just took a screenshot of the unfilled form for reference. Yes I am sponsoring my wife, after some digging we found that we had to reinstall adobe Acrobat with the newest version to be able to modify the PDF correctly.
