    Hello All, I am about to submit my RFE documents on the USCIS website for the I-864(as a part of AOS). Do the categories look okay or are there any other tips or tricks? I added multiple documents to some pdfs that way I would only have 5 to upload. I made sure that the I-864 and their RFE request were just a single pdf each. I'm not really sure what category is best for the I-864 form itself, I can only choose from the below: Employment Documentation Financial Identification Military Records Police/Arrest Records Proof of Residence USCIS Correspondence Other Supporting Documents Thank you!

    Thank you, yes I just took a screenshot of the unfilled form for reference. Yes I am sponsoring my wife, after some digging we found that we had to reinstall adobe Acrobat with the newest version to be able to modify the PDF correctly.

    Hello All, We received and RFE for our I-485 application because of the I-864 Affidavit of Support. Can someone please tell me the proper way to fill this out? We believe this is the cause of the RFE, the form auto fills household size to 1. So the only way for us to change it was print it then cross out the 1 and change it to 2. But we are now seeing online we aren't supposed to do it that way. Could someone please clarify? Thank you!

    Another weird update, they have now updated our status on the USCIS account page saying that "Case is being actively reviewed". Has anyone had this happen before?

    Hello All, Has anyone else received an RFE on I-485 because of the Affidavit of Support(I-864)? We double checked everything we provided: IRS tax return transcripts (3 years) 6 months of bank statements 6 months of pay stubs My W2 from employer for 2021 Tax Returns filed (3 years) Employment Verification Letter Birth Certificate I make around 4x the poverty guidelines so I am trying to understand what I missed since they only seem to tell you which form you messed up on, but not what information you missed. Thanks for the help! P.s Also very annoying how some parts of the I-864 PDF are not editable.

    Hello all, I am trying to open a joint bank account at chase with my wife, but they say we can only open it with her maiden name. Although to do this they say we still need a utility bill with that name on it. What is the best way to do this? I currently have socal Edison for electricity and Verizon for my phone bill. I changed her name for her phone number on the account but I don't think it will show up until next month. Is there a faster option? Or rather another good bank in socal that doesn't require a utility bill for form of ID? Thank you!

    Hello all, My wife is here on K1 visa and we have already gotten married but we are going to have a ceremony for friends and family in November, would it be possible to have her apply for a tourist visa in that time frame? And how would we go about doing that? Thank you!

    Thank you we really appreciate it, we were definitely thinking about Vegas as an option since we have heard that do quick marriages. We will definitely apply for SSN as soon as she gets here. And we could definitely squeeze over there late this month as long as her flight doesn't get changed/delayed. I'll message you about it!

    Thank you both, I see now. I am not too familiar with the process. Does it matter if we get our wedding certificate after the 90 days is up? Or is it just a matter of how soon we can try to apply for AoS?

    Thank you for the info, I have seen it takes a while to get them, we will be having the marriage license appointment the day after she gets here, so I hope that gives enough time before our wedding in late November. We only went with LA county because I assumed you have to get the license in whichever county the marriage actually takes place, which in our case it is.

    Thank you, we won't be getting married until November and she arrives in a couple weeks, will there be any issues with her getting a SSN? Looking on the website it says we can apply when applying for the i485. And yes we are planning for LA county.

    Hello all, We had our interview and we were approved! She got her visa within 2 days from the Bangkok embassy! We wanted to ask how soon should we go about getting her a license in the states? And what documents she will need to get it? Thank you!

    Hello All, We are looking at the requirements and packet 3 info before we schedule the interview at Bangkok embassy. There is a portion that states all documents have to be uploaded to CEAC website before the interview. Does this apply our I-129F application or is this for another visa? Thank you!

    Thank you! Also, I was curious, how did you fill out page 8, part 3, Item 24 of the I-134? Because it gives limited room to type anything so I figured I would put continued and then explain in the additional information section that I intend to fully support my fiancée until she receives her work authorization.

    Hello All, We received our email from the NVC that our I-129F is in transit to the Bangkok embassy, Myself and my fiancée have both tried accessing the CEAC website to fill out the DS-160 but have had errors loading the website no matter what browser we use. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to solve it? Thank you!

    NVC just received our I-129F! NOA1: May 10th, 2021 NOA2: June 22nd, 2022 NVC Receive: August 5th, 2022 approx. 44 days We just booked the plane ticket a few hours ago without knowing it would be sent out today haha! We are so excited, and hope all of you get your cases sent out soon!

    Thank you both! I will wait until our case is sent to the embassy, I will be sure to put no end date as well. I see, that's why I feel like I would need the employment verification directly from HR/my employer. But I will talk with them in more detail to see how I can retrieve this information. I do already have my W2 and file tax return from last year, and can print out my pay stubs easily!
