Cr1 on visa but IR1 correct category. What to do?

Hello,

Arrived in the US, but both visa and entry stamp were CR1. We have been married since 3 years. 

I haven’t recieved my green card yet, but should I contact USCIS in advance prior to the production of the card to let them know I was given the wrong visa class and that it should be IR1?

There is no such form.

There is I-90 and I would only file it after receiving physical green card with incorrect category / other info.

Sorry, it's a typo. I-90 is correct. The same thing happened when my son arrived. He should've received and IR-1 and they gave him a Cr-1. My other 3 family members had the correct IR-1.

As mentioned above, wait until you get the plastic GC.  If it is a 2-year GC, file an I-90 due to USCIS data error.  Filing I-90 due to that reason will be free.

Came to usa based on cr1 visa. Was in AP for 10 months but embassy didn’t change from cr1 to ir1 when visa issued (embassy should have updated) . 
 

 

Entered US when I was married for 2 years and 10 months to spouse and cbp marked as cr1. Will I get ir1 green card?

Do you think chances are higher that they will automatically fix the error instead of doing the I-90?

It is based on when you enter, you can stress that when you do.

I already Entered the USA 2 months ago. Still waiting for the physical card to be produced.

How long did your process take to get it corrected? Did you file online or mail in through paper?

It’s been about 7 years now so I don’t remember how long it took, sorry. I don’t remember it taking an extremely long time, though. It was done through the mail because online filing wasn’t an option then.

Hello, do you finally receive your physical card? They send the correct one ?
