K1 EAD processing times

Greetings

I recently moved to the USA 6 months ago and filed for my adjustment of status, my travel documents and my employment authorization document. I was hoping to get my EAD by now, however when I called USCIS they said it is a 9 month wait. Has anyone filed for their EAD and received it? How long did it take?

Filed: AOS (pnd) Country: Belarus
Timeline

Mods should probably move this to the AOS subforum, but before that happens, I'll try to give insight here. From my observations, those who filed those petitions recently are getting approved faster than those who filed this time last year. Nonetheless, a lot seems heavily dependent on your location. Baltimore and Atlanta Field Offices are insanely backed up right now, and on Reddit some people are reporting that their cases have been transferred from those offices to more open ones.

Regardless of what office is actually processing your EAD/AP/Green Card, my observation is that it's 100% tied to where you live, as evidenced by some people getting approved the same day as biometrics and others waiting much longer without a peep. What's your closest field office?

Field offices do not process AP/EAD.  Those are processed at NBC.

What's weird to me, though, is that people who have 'quick' field offices for the purposes of their I-485s are getting lightning quick EAD/APs. I occasionally look through the Adjustment threads, and it's bewildering that some people get approved same day as doing bios at their FOs and others wait months (like my wife); I'm not sure why things would be so different? It could just be completely random, but I've always suspected there was something else going on based on location.
