Hello VJ fam,

I’ve been doing a lot of research and asking many questions and I’ve been getting different answers. I got DQ’D in July with 2020 tax returns. I’ve read the i864 is valid and good for one year. Turning to the forum to see if anyone had personal experience to share.

1) Do I need to update my i864 before the interview? If so I have a sponsor that will assist. Do I have to submit sponsor i864 to CEAC before  interview or can beneficiary just bring it to the interview? Also, struggling with getting a tax transcript with sponsor. Sponsor has 2021 tax return and can provide pay stubs. Is there anything else?

thanks for your time

any personal experience advice would be much appreciated

1) Yes

1).2 For most countries they usually allow you to bring the updated I-864 to the interview.  You should check to see if Morocco allows this also.

This is for a Moroccan going thru the UAE embassy for interview

Since u just Dq'd in July 2022,  u will need to have (at this time ) ,  2021 tax returns and updated I 864

you may,  however,  as a foreigner in UAE doing interview have it  scheduled after April tax due date (usually the 15th) at which time 2022 tax papers would be due at interview
