Hi everyone, let's update each other here regarding September interview letters. I didn't see a thread for it even though I saw a couple people got their IL letters in recent days. I was DQ's in mid-August and still awaiting my IL.

The I130 I filed for my stepson was  DQ'ed in August also, around the 16th I think it was. Received interview letter in like 3 weeks, early September for an October 19th interview. It all depends on the workload of the embassy.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

I'm glad it happened so quickly and good luck! I've been waiting for 4 weeks now.

Isn't it possible to followup with the consulate after a certain number of weeks if an appointment date hasn't yet been received? Does anyone have anymore information about that?

They knows nothing about the interview date. I think the workflow is like this

1. The consulate sends a list of available timeslots to the NVC

2. Then the NVC assigns individuals to each timeslot

3. Then consulate gets notified your appointment date and your case files too.

I could be wrong but this is the info I got while I was waiting for my interview appmt impatiently.

Yes that's my understanding. I wouldn't try to contact the Embassy. NVC would be a better bet if you're desperate.

Thanks for clarifying. How are things coming along for you both?

My interview date 10/20, waiting for this date to come patiently.

Amazing! Congratulations. Don't worry, 10/20 is right around the corner.

How long did it take you to get your interview letter after being DQ?

DQ - August 12th
Interview Letter Received - September 29th
Interview Date - November 17th.

Nice @CaffeNeroGuy! A month and a half of waiting, not bad. As per my understanding your case will be processed at UK, right? Do you have any knowledge about how the consulate is dealing with the backlog?

I don't know how they're dealing with the backlog. From my research on this site and elsewhere it seems people have received interviews within 2 weeks to as long as 7 weeks after getting DQd. But it seems like new batches get released at the end/beginning of every month.
