Hello,

I am an EB2-NIW applicant and I had a previous nonimmigrant stay in the US as an F-1 visa holder for a period of 5 years. I wondered, what documents one could provide before/during the interview to anticipate questions that officers may have, and decrease chances of getting AP'ed as I have heard from many that past stays in the US increases chances of administrative processing.

I can think of a few things : Documents related to my F-1 visa (the visa stamp, port-of-entry stamps, I94, I20, verifiable diploma and transcripts). How about other things like tax return transcripts from IRS or even FBI background check? I am thinking of basically anything that shows that I was a good-standing law-abiding lawful nonimmigrant throughout my stay in the US :) I know that these are NOT required by the NVC but I wondered if anyone has tried these and if they received a positive/negative feedback.

Thanks in advance!

I lived in the US for over 10 years on 4 different visa statuses prior to my immigrant visa interview. I took all the documents with me but was not asked to show anything at the interview. Agree with your strategy of taking everything but most likely they won’t ask for anything.

FBI background check?

The consulate has access to US government databases and will run the FBI background security check themselves.  That's why police certificates from the US are not required.  Just make sure your I-94 travel history record has no errors, especially missing departure entries that would imply you overstayed.
