Hey guys. Sorry for the constant questions. I found this website and since have taken a lot of my questions and inquiries and brought them here. So please forgive me if I’m asking things constantly.

My wife’s visa in Thailand has a mark on it from when an Immigration officer here in Thailand accidentally stamped the wrong date. He then used a sharpie to block out that date and stamped another date just above it. I know altering passports and visas is illegal, however would the US government/consulate have a concern and or problem with a date on a visa in my wife’s passport literally being blocked out with a sharpie?  Would an explanation of why that happened suffice if they even ask about it or would we need some kind of document from Thailand verifying that’s what really happened? (Wouldn’t even know how to get that to be honest)

Thanks guys! You all are life savers.

Immigration officers have authority to make stamps and remarks in passports. I see no issue here. Based on your description there  is nothing illegal
