Hello Guys,

The September 2025 visa bulletin has been released ; the September 1, 2023 PD is still there for EB 2nd category for ROW.

Does it mean that those who have PDs till August 31,2023 may still get interview letters before the end of the fiscal year of 2025??

Please comment!

They may yes, they say the quota is going to be reached soon, but we have no idea of knowing when. Could be later today, could be longer.

My priority date in june 2021, ROW.  I can't find the way to update the spreadsheet with my information. Cna you help, send me the link , please.

Assume this is in response to me asking you to complete your timeline? It's on your profile, click on that and then you can fill it in and it adds to the VJ body of knowledge which is super helpful, thanks.

Thanks for sharing and congrats! The officer didn’t ask you any questions about your petition at all, or anything like “what makes you extraordinary and why are you applying for this visa?” I’ve seen many posts mentioning that they were asked for details — sometimes very detailed ones.
Also, what field are you in, if you don’t mind sharing?

No. Just the questions that I shared

@Canadian24, the spreadsheet is very useful, thanks for help with maintaining it.

It looks like you can edit, approve, and manage the spreadsheet. Could we add a column called "Last seen" OR "Last Visited here" to indicate when the information for each row was last confirmed or modified by the user? Right now, there’s no way to tell whether certain rows simply haven’t changed or if the data is outdated.

With the added column, we'll know the information is current even if there are no changes reported.

@mmountain Hi, yes that's a great idea. I'm in the midst of preparing for the interview so don't have much time. You can perhaps take that on? You can ask on the Google sheet for access and I'll make you an editor.

I’ve added a User Last Seen column in the spreadsheet. It’ll be really helpful if everyone can keep it updated.

I used the latest link to add the column, but it looks like that file is just a copy of the original, named “June 2025 Copy Montreal EB Visas.” When I opened the original file, “Montreal EB Visas,” I wasn’t able to add the column. Instead, I got the message:

"You are trying to edit a protected cell or object. Please contact the spreadsheet owner to remove protection if you need to edit."

Wondering if after activating US permanent residency at the border, if anyone has stayed outside the US for more than 6 months, but less than a year - and if there have been issues with that when you return to the US? I know you need a re-entry permit if you're absent for more than a year, but it seems like a grey area when it's between 6 months and a year? We're trying to save up some more money before making the move, but obviously don't want to compromise our status!

Hi there! Just wondering if you got any feedback on how to handle this without compromising your permanent residency. Thanks for sharing

@Anelisse Hi Anelisse! I’ve done quite a bit of research, since we thought my husband might only be able to fully join me between 6 months and a year later. It’s definitely a grey area, but from what I’ve found, they generally understand that the first year can take time to fully relocate, sell your house, etc. Popping by occasionally while you’re in the process of moving seems fine in that first year. It’s not the same as someone who is already established and leaves for over a year and never returns to the U.S. (that’s when you’d need the I-131 re-entry permit).

From what I’ve gathered, you just need to activate your green card within the 6 months, then make sure you’re spending some time in the U.S., even short visits, and building ties here (like opening a bank account, getting a driver’s license, etc.). The “6 months to 1 year” concern usually applies if you don’t come at all. Since we’re coming from Canada, it’s relatively easy to at least visit and build ties even if you didn't totally move yet.

Feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat more about it!

@mmountain Yes the “June 2025 Copy Montreal EB Visas” is the one I created because the original was not being updated/in disorder for months and we didn't have full editing access. The original is a bit of a mess by now and seems to have incorrect info added since. It's owned by sapkde9. You can look at the version history to see who changed what. Cheers!

@Canadian24. Thanks for the clarification. Only concern with two versions is people may update different files and someone needs to consolidate it, unless we take all obsolete files offline.

@mmountain Yes, it would be easier if you convince sapkde9 to give you full editing access so you can maintain the original and keep everything organized. The dates are not even organized anymore. I’ll be out of VJ soon, so I’ll let you take the lead on what you think is best.

@Canadian24  I do not own the original one,  I am just a user on it (In fact on the copy as well).     I think almost everyone is an editor on it!
