Hi there,

I have seen that after AOS approval I should have received my social security number in the mail within 7 business days, it’s been 2 weeks since the approval and still nothing has turned up. I checked the box on both EAD and AOS to get an SSN, and was approved for the permanent resident card first.

Should I wait longer or schedule an in person appointment for it?

And is there a specific phone number I can call to atleast see if a SSN has been generated for me?

Thanks in advance!

Call SSA Headquarters in MD.

Wait 2 weeks from the day you received your actual GC though.

Not since you were approved.
