Combo card approved - Need new SS card? AOS

Hi All,

So after 364 days my wife finally got her combo card approved ( EAD, AP).  My first question is, now that it is approved, how long will it take to actually receive it?  Also, now that she has her EAD, do I need to go back to the SS office to get a new SS card that changes the employment statement on it?  It currently reads not eligible for employment.   We did check on our I-485 packet that we wanted a new card sent to us.

Nothing to be done with SSN. They will not remove that wording UNTIL she has a GC. Once you get GC, go back to SSO.

I think mine took about 10-12 days. Also, nothing to do with SSN. For that, you have to wait for your GC

Congrats on getting the combo card. That must’ve taken some serious patience.
