My husband and I planned a trip to go back to his country and already bought tickets and made plans. From no where we got a letter with an appointment for my husband’s naturalization interview and it’s during the time we will be out of the country. The paper says the appointment can be rescheduled if you are sick with covid but that’s all. Can it be reschedule for other reasons or are we stuck and have to cancel our trip?

You can reschedule.

I wouldn't advise it because of how it's like a blessing to get an appointment from USCIS.

I would change the trip to a day after interview etc

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

You can, but there is no guarantee how long you will wait for another appointment. I didn’t made any serious plans for whole year I applied for my naturalization since it was the most important thing for me.

I'm with AnJay & Timona but that's by the by now.

Yes you can reschedule. If your husband is okay with continuing to live and work with his green card until the interview is rescheduled, to goodness know when, then go ahead with your plans.

How long have you been waiting?

Lover and hubby to 1, Daddy to 2. I do enjoy growing older but not growing up.

A filthy, dirty oilfield engineer.

N400 through marriage to another filthy dirty oilfield engineer.
