Hi I need some information about covid 19 vaccination my stepson is Ukranian and is imposible to find a place where he can be vaccinated. 

Is covid vaccine mandatory?

Is any way he can have a waiver now and be vaccinated ones he came here to the States.?

Any information will be appreciated.

I’m not sure if it’s mandated for medical anymore but it is for plane travel to the US. Ukrainians were exempt until April (May?) 1st, now they must be vaccinated with a WHO-approved vaccine. There should still be centers operational within Ukraine, but if not, tourists to Turkey and Croatia have confirmed being able to vaccinate there.

 

Alternate option is flying to Mexico and crossing the land border, where vaccines are not mandatory.

 

Edit: Depending on his age there may be a waiver, but these are incredibly difficult to get and based on others’ experiences here relying on such exemptions, I would highly advise against it.

Assuming (and hoping) your stepson is outside of Ukraine right now, there are vaccination centers in almost every EU country & it should be fairly easy to get a one-dose J&J vaccine.

Thank you for your response I used a tool  called CDC travel Assessment and I think us citizen,us residents, us nationals and immigrants do not need to be vaccinated to enter the US. Also I google it, and enter the page on  Turkis Airlines and American  Airlines and have the same info,Maybe I am wrong I going to keep searching.

That information is correct, but does your stepson fall into any one of those categories? Note as well that everyone, regardless of their legal status and vaccination, must have the 24-hour Covid test before boarding the flight. Best of luck to you guys.

Ok, got it! You should be fine, then. He maybe should print out what you found online before going to the airport in case the check-in isn’t familiar with the rule.
