Hello, I am new here so apologies if I am posting my question in a wrong thread.

I am originally from the Philippines but lived here in the UK for more that 10 years and I am now a British citizen.

My question is: Which Police certificate do I need for K1 visa? a Philippine one or UK police cert.?

Thank you for reading my question.

5.POLICE CERTIFICATES:

1. Each visa applicant at least 16 years of age, must submit an original police certificate: 

2. from the police authorities of the applicant's country of current residence if the applicant has resided there for at least six months after attaining the age of sixteen; 

3. from the police authorities of all other countries, except the United States, where the applicant has resided for at least one year after attaining the age of sixteen; 

4. from the police authorities of any country where the applicant had been arrested for any reason, regardless of how long he or she lived there.

You will need both UK police certificate and Philippine NBI clearance.

Hi thank you for your reply.

I had a thought of needing both. When I applied my visa to come here in the UK I had my NBI clearance with me, ( I still have my personal copy but it is now like 12 years old). Thank you again for your reply, I will soon get a new one from the Philippines.

If you have ever returned to the Philippines (even for a short visit) since moving to the UK, the yes, you will need a new NBI clearance.
