I applied for my US passport today at a USPS office. I noticed that the clerk there clipped my original naturalization certificate to the application form. Did this happen to anyone else? if not, do you think I can do anything to "sue" the usps for that?

Feb 01, 2022 (Day 06): DOS received (status: in process) Locator 69: New Hampshire: Old Gen Passport to come.

Feb 28, 2022 (Day 33) :  Received the passport - Old Gen.

Mar 01, 2022 (Day 34) :  Received the passport card.

Mar 04, 2022 (Day 37) :  Received the original Naturalization Certificate safely.

Thank you for your reply, but you misunderstood my question intent, anyway I removed the second part of my question.

 

any helpful comments about the clipping part, did that happen to you?

When you say clipped do you mean with a paper clip?

Yup. That's the correct procedure, unfortunately. They do staple it to your application.
