Has anyone else applied for the Uniting for Ukraine program?

Has anyone had experience with re-applying for U4U after the travel authorization gets expired in 3 months. Would it get approved again?

I did once look to see if there were any limitations and could not see any so you should be good to go

Would you use the same email address or a new one? I am concerned that there will be problems with the account since i already did the registration.

As far as I understand, my beneficiary cannot leave the country after being admitted. Is that correct?

 

Is she eligible to file for Advance Parole?

I've seen some debate on this issue. Some say that they can apply for advance parole to travel out of the the country. I cannot see anywhere that humanitarian parolees are eligible for this. From my understanding if they leave the country their humanitarian parole ends. I believe you should be able to file an I-134 and start the process again and they would be eligible to be paroled again, but I haven't heard if anyone has tried this, not to mention if they had success.

So I guess that shouldn't be a problem.

The time to takes to get one would be the issue, so is this time dependent?

 

There is also the opportunity to reapply.

I was reading the Advance Parole instructions. It appears that for people on humanitarian parole the instances for this are pretty limited:

Quote

You must complete Part 4. of the form indicating how your intended travel fits within 1 of the 3 purposes below.  You must also provide evidence of your reason for travel outside of the United States including the dates of travel and the expected duration outside the United States.  If your advance parole application is approved, the validity dates of your Advance Parole Document will be for the duration of the documented need for travel.  

Below are examples of acceptable evidence:

Educational Purposes

(a) A letter from a school employee acting in an official capacity describing the purpose of the travel and explaining why travel is required or beneficial; or

(b) A document showing enrollment in an educational program requiring travel.

Employment Purposes

A letter from your employer or a conference host describing the need for the travel.

Humanitarian Purposes

(a) A letter from your physician explaining the nature of your medical condition, the specific medical treatment to be sought outside of the United States, and a brief explanation why travel outside the U.S. is medically necessary; or  

(b) Documentation of a family member’s serious illness or death.

No, it's not. I know she will need one at some point in Sping/Summer.

Does anyone happen to know how does the border process works? As in, is it enough to bring just the passport and the printed out authorization to travel? Do they ask for any other documentation? What questions do they ask at the border?

When boarding a flight to the United States the beneficiary will need passport and travel authorization document. If a minor, a proof of the adult they are traveling with is a parent or guardian. They will also need them at POE. This program is not intended for border crossings. People have had difficulties crossing from Canada for an example. Also crossing from Canada or Mexico of the people I have heard successful have been limited to a 1 year parole.

We are fairly pleased with the I-765/I-912 process. It took 33 days including mail from mailing paperwork to receiving EAD cards and SS cards for 2 U4U beneficiaries!

Oh yeah, thank you. The beneficiary is planning to fly in, indeed. I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly happens at the border itself.
